A manual fare can either be completely manual or updated from an existing filed fare.

Notes:

  • The plating carrier is required for ticketing purposes. It can either be added to the end of the FBC entry, added to the end of the FBF entry, or added separately as a Ticket Modifier (TMU1Cxx) before ticketing.

  • The manual fare build can also be done via Smartpoint Assisted Ticketing - Manual Fare Builder. The script can also be opened via #MANMASK.

Open the manual fare build from an existing filed fare

Existing auto priced or manual fares may be amended using these formats to display the manual fare build and then update using the FBU and FBF entries above.

Retrieve filed fare number 2 for passengers 2 and 3 and display it as a manual fare build screen.

Amend filed fare number 2 for passengers 2 and 3 to show correct passenger description as a child aged 5.

Note: Amending fares in this way may affect the fare guarantee indicator depending on which items are changed. for private fares, and the net ticket data may be lost. The following items can be amended WITHOUT changing the fare guarantee indicator or losing net ticket data.

Manual fare build procedure - example

In the example below, 3 passengers are traveling, of which passengers 1, and 2 are adults, passenger 3 is a child.

To minimize the number of screens to be completed, the smallest group should be first in the input request, followed by the larger groups.

Procedure Create Fare Build:

  1. Create the Manual Fare build screens for all passengers, smallest group (the child) first.
    FBCP3*C08.1-2/CKL (plating carrier KL)

  2. The child screen is displayed first. Complete this using FBU entries shown in the Update Fare Build paragraph above.

  3. File the fare using FBF.

  4. The first adult screen is automatically displayed. Complete this using FBU entries.

  5. File the fare for all remaining passengers using FBFALL.

  6. Save the Filed Fare in the PNR using ER.

Procedure Update Fare Build from an existing files fare:

  1. Create the Manual Fare build screens for adults:
    *FB1P1-2

  2. The first adult screen is automatically displayed. Complete this using FBU entries shown in the Update Fare Build paragraph above.

  3. File the fare using for all adults using FBFALL,

  4. Create the Manual Fare build screens for child:
    *FB1P3

  5. Complete this using FBU entries shown in the Update Fare Build paragraph above.

  6. File the fare for all remaining passengers using FBF.

  7. Save the updated Filed Fare in the PNR using ER.
