Exporting Data

GlobalWare provides the Export Type dialog box to export the following kinds of data (depending on where you access the dialog box from):

This topic describes exporting both kinds of data.

Exporting Account ID Data

To export account ID data:

  1. Select the Accounts menu then Account ID.

  2. Enter search criteria to list the accounts you desire. For more information, see Using the Account ID Screen. Accounts that match the search criteria appear in the Search Results grid.

  3. Click EXPORT. The Export Type dialog box appears.

  4. Complete the fields as appropriate.

  5. Click OK.

    The Export to screen appears.

  6. In the File name field, type the name of the file.

  7. Click Save.

    By default, GlobalWare saves the file to the GlobalWare\GWUser folder within your local user folder (C:\Users\userfolder\GlobalWare\GWUser).

Exporting Location Data

To export location data:

  1. Select the Systems menu then Branch & STP Locations.

  2. Click EXPORT. For more information about the Branch & STP Locations screen, see Branch & STP Locations.

  3. Complete the fields as appropriate.

  4. Click OK.

    The Export to screen appears.

  5. In the File name field, type the name of the file.

  6. Click Save.

    By default, GlobalWare saves the file to the GlobalWare\GWUser folder within your local user folder (C:\Users\userfolder\GlobalWare\GWUser).
