You will need Pre-production and Production credentials from Air Canada to use in your development (In the Sandbox you were using Travelport’s Pre-production Air Canada credentials). After you sign a contract directly with Air Canada:
- Email Air Canada to request Pre-production credentials. When you receive the credentials, please create a support request in MyTravelport asking for your credentials to be added to the Travelport Admin Portal.

When you receive certification from Air Canada to move to Production, you can enter your Air Canada Username and Password through the Travelport Admin Portal against your Production Work Area Branch (WAB or TargetBranch).
Display
Air Canada products in the shopping display must be displayed as described below for ALL markets on both B2C and B2B applications. Full requirements can be viewed at:

Domestic

All fares must be able to be displayed as one way fares, and can be sold as either one-way or round-trip fares.

All fares are combinable with each other. I.e.,a Tango fare outbound can be combined with a Flex fare return.

Air Canada fares must only be sourced from the API and fully merchandised.

Partners that choose to show a mixed itinerary, such as Air Canada one way and OAL return, must source Air Canada from the API and the segment must be fully merchandised.
Transborder and International

All fares must be able to be displayed as one way fares, and can be sold as either one-way or round-trip fares.

All fares are combinable with each other. I.e., a Tango fare outbound can be combined with a Flex fare return.

If the itinerary is Air Canada to Air Canada (e.g., AC – AC YYZDFW), then the fares must be sourced and fully merchandised from the API.

If the itinerary is Air Canada to Air Canada code share (e.g., AC – AC*) then the fares must be sourced and fully merchandised from the API.

If the itinerary is true interline (e.g., YYZORD – AC and ORDDFW – AA), then the fares may be sourced from the GDS and both the online and interline itineraries must be shown on the Air Shopping response page.

The same flight solution (e.g., YYZDFW) online must never be sourced from both the API and GDS.

If a negotiated rate has been provided by Air Canada and is less than the retail fare, then the fare may be sourced from the GDS.

Use CHD for child travelers. INF (Infant in Seat is not supported) travel is not permitted via the web or ac2u API for travel other than Domestic Canada.
Air Canada bookings allow 20 characters for first, 20 characters for middle, and 20 characters for the last name in the name fields.
Testing
When testing Air Canada, there is sometimes a synchronization problem. This is because for Air Canada:
- Low Fare Shopping and Air Pricing use Production data.
- Air Booking uses Pre-production/Test data.
Guidelines

Test between major cities: YYZ, YUL, YVR, YYC, etc.

Do not select the lowest fare from the Low Fare Shop response to price and book.

When booking, make sure you cancel, to ensure inventory is not depleted.
Ticketing
Ticketing is done by Air Canada.
