PNR/Booking File: Required Data

Received By

Before you end transact (ET or ER) a PNR/Booking File, you must enter a Received By identifier to indicate who has requested a booking to be created or changed.

In Travelport Smartpoint, you can make a Received By entry by either:

  • Using terminal formats:
  • Travelport+ (1G) : R.xxxx
  • Apollo (1V): R:xxxx

Where xxxx is a name, initials, or another identifier assigned by your agency. This field may contain the name or reference of the person who requested you to create or change the booking.

  • Using the AutoReceive feature to automatically add the Received By identifier at end transact.

Automatically Assigning "Received By" Identifiers

If you consistently use the same Received By identifier, you can use the Auto Receive feature to enter an identifier that is automatically used at each end transact. If you use AutoReceive, you do not need to enter the terminal format at end transact.

Note: The Auto Receive feature supports an automated Received By only for E end transact  entries such as entries ER and ET. QEB and other queue transact entries are not supported by Auto Receive, and the Received By identifier must be entered manually.
To automatically assigning a Received By identifier:
  1. From Classic Windows or Flex Windows, open Application Settings.

  1. In AutoReceive, enter a name, initials, or another identifier assigned by your agency. This field may contain the name or reference of the person who requested you to create or change the booking.

  1. Click SAVE.
