Smartpoint GDS translator

Comparing Translation Content

Two translator tools are used by Travelport for its Smartpoint products to convert terminal formats (cryptic commands) from one GDS format to another. These translators are designed to assist in the transition from one GDS to another.

Translators are available for:

Smartpoint Travelport+ (1G) and Apollo (1V) in the Smartpoint GDS Translator tool, which is used by both Smartpoint Desktop and Smartpoint Cloud.

These translations are included in the GDSFormatTranslations.xml file, which is included in the Smartpoint Desktop installation and used at runtime for Smartpoint Cloud. The commands included in the XML file are also available in a table format in Supported Formats.
Smartpoint Web for Worldspan (1P) in the Travelport GDS Translator tool.

Translation commands are available for Worldspan customers in the Travelport Worldspan Translator App Translations list in the Travelport Knowledge Base.
