Access Flight Search

The Flight Search is part of the installation for Smartpoint v10.0 and above for Travelport+ and Apollo. Worldspan customer will use Smartpoint 1P with the plugin.

Important: NDC on Smartpoint requires access to certain endpoints. Refer to the list of required endpoints.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now integrated into the login process for this product.

What is MFA? It is a two-step verification process designed to keep your account safer. The new, secure login experience adds an extra layer of protection to your account. In the future, this update will simplify password recovery and improve self-service and registration.

As part of this process, a code is sent to your associated email address to authenticate your login. With MFA, your data and information are well protected.

  1. Log onto Smartpoint.

    1. Enter your Travelport+ (1G) host credentials. If you have a PCC-specific account, you do not need to enter a PCC. If your account is not PCC specific and you do not enter a PCC, another window displays for you to enter a PCC in order to continue.

You can also launch the graphical Sign in dialog by typing SON/xxx in a terminal window, where xxx is your ID.

    2. Select Sign In.

    3. For Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), you will receive an email with a code. The email subject line is Your authentication code.

    4. Copy and paste the code you are given and enter i on the login page.

    5. If login fails, request a new code and repeat steps 2-3.

  2. It is recommended that you start by moving a profile or entering customer data before opening the plugin. Passenger information is required in the booking file/PNR prior to search if you want to assign seats before completing the booking. Refer to NDC Profile Best Practices for information about how best to format profile fields.

  3. Launch the plugin by selecting Flight Search from the Search icon or menu (Travelport+ and Apollo) or the Fares & Pricing menu (Worldspan). Note: For existing plugin users on Smartpoint Desktop version 10.0 to 11.0, the option from Search is named NDC Flight Shopping Search.

    • If the plugin launches in blank window, you may need to update your graphics card driver.

    • If your host session times out after a period of being idle and the plugin screen is open, no message displays to advise you that your host password has timed out. You will need to close the window, log in to the host again, and relaunch the plugin. Unsaved Host booking file data may be lost at this stage, so it is important to ER the booking once changes are made.

    • If the MyTravelport session times out after 24 hours, there is currently no message to advise that it has timed out. There is no timer to warn that it is due to time out.
Important: If a request was sent at this time, for example a book request or a cancel request, there is a possibility it may fail. If so, please log in and try the request again. If any problems recur, please contact the Help desk.

  4. Once connected, if you are not yet logged into MyTravelport, a pop-up window displays for you to enter your MyTravelport credentials and select Log in. If you do not have credentials, contact your Travelport account representative.

Note: MyTravelport is used to validate your identification. Once you enter these credentials, the MyTravelport session remains active for 24 hours. Refer to the FAQs for more time limit information.

  5. The NDC Search panel displays. Complete the fields to begin your search.

Note: You will remain logged into the plugin for 4 hours and you will remain logged in while you work in it.

You can also access the plugin from a booked itinerary with NDC segments by selecting the N icon, displayed in PNR Viewer.
