Availability sort modes

In Travelport+ there are two availability sort modes. The standard setting for Travelport+ is the Basic Sort Mode, which organizes the flights returned in an availability response in the following order:

The availability mode can be set to the Direct Sort Mode, which organizes flights in more categories.

The sort mode used to request an individual availability response can be displayed in two ways:

  1. Assumed City Display (HMCT)
  2. Active Work Area Display (OP/W*)

Formats to select availability sort modes

Explanation

SSM/DIRECT

Select sort mode DIRECT. Available to all sign ons, for active session only.

SSM/BASIC

Select sort mode DIRECT. Available to all sign ons, for active session only.

SSA/DIRECT

Select sort Agency Direct. Available to second-level user only, sorting set up for whole PCC.

SSA/BASIC

Select sort Agency Basic. Available to second-level user only, sorting set up for whole PCC.

SSO/N

Restricts the use of the SSM/ entry (format used by second-level authorizers only)

SSO/Y

Allows the use of the SSM/ entry by individual users (format used by second-level authorizers only)

Explanation:

1. Header Line includes:

Day of week; Date; Boardpoint city/Offpoint city.

Shows NEUTRAL display, may be replaced by CARRIER DISPLAY and show carrier code.

2. Line number.

3. Boardpoint of sector.

4. Number of stops on sector - blank indicates non-stop.

5. Offpoint of sector.

6. May show date of commencement of sector.

7. Departure time.

8. Day of arrival indicator.

  • # = arrival next day.

  • * = arrival two days later.

  • - = arrival previous day (International Date Line).

  • blank = arrival same day.

9. Time of arrival.

10. Code share indicator (@ - also known as Joint operation).

11. Carrier and flight number.

12. Classes and availability.

13. More classes indicator (#) - use follow up display i.e. A@#2.

16. Inside Link indicator (* indicates that the carrier has Seamless Availability) The carrier is able to identify where the request has come from and return the most up to date and appropriate availability to the display.

17. Electronic Ticket Indicator.

  • E = Electronic Ticketing available.

  • X = Electronic Ticketing NOT available.

  • blank = No information from airline.
