Interactive fare display (FD)

Tip: The Travelport+ format online help contains cryptic entries, a printable mini guide, and conversions between Travelport+ and other GDS entries for common requests.

The fare display terminal response is interactive and includes both public and privates fares. Refer to the known issues section below for current limitations.

Fare display results

Click on blue and green text to display information and rules.

The fare display command displays on the terminal screen header.

Indicates the last time/date of the fares database update.

Fares from specific airports exist.

Indicates the Maximum Permitted Mileage for the route, followed by the Global Indicator.

Public and private fares may be displayed for the PCC shown.

Other currency fares exist. To display, add the specific currency format (e.g., :EUR).

When airport fares exist, indicates the origin and destination city/airport codes for the listed fares.

Carrier code. Hover or click to decode.

The carrier code may be preceded by a private fares indicator.

  • - indicates airline private fares or agency private fares (net level only)

  • / indicates a mark up via Net Fare Manager or Agency Private Fares (selling level)

To filter results:

  • Use fare display modifiers to display only private fares: FDAMSHKG:P

  • To display private fares with account code: FDWAWDXB/EK-PRI-TOUROPS:P

Fare is shown in the currency of the commencement of travel or NUCs. Click to display Penalty rules.

Indicates the type of fare.

  • R indicates round trip.

  • Blank indicates one-way fares.

+ indicates a ticketing deadline.

Minimum/Maximum stay requirement in days or months.

  • SU indicates that Sunday rule applies.

  • V indicates variable rules. See fare rule.

Seasonality dates

  • Blank indicates no restrictions.

  • O preceding the dates indicates the outbound journey must occur during the dates.

  • I preceding the dates indicates the inbound journey must occur during the dates.

Mileage/Routing indicator

  • M indicates a mileage-based fare.

  • R indicates a routing-based fare.

  • M/R indicates both a mileage- and routing-based.

  • D indicates that fares are restricted to travel on certain days of the week.

  • T indicates that fares are restricted to travel at certain times of the day.

When clicking on the interactive areas, the related information may display as follows in a separate section embedded within the fare display screen or may display in a separate screen.

When information displays in a separate screen, click <<Back to Fare Display>> to return to the fare display screen.

Private fares

Interactive fare display (entry FD followed by city pair) includes both public and private fares, including those loaded with Account Code.

  • Dash (-) indicates airline private fare.

  • Slash (/) indicates agency private fares/Net Fare Manager/Selling Fare Manager.

In this example, the flight listed has a private fare and the account code is listed under the private fare.

Known issues

  • When specifying only the destination city (for example, FDLON), the terminal initialization city is used instead of the agency city.

  • In the North American display, the line number is not interactive.

  • These follow-up entries are not supported.
