Unbundled fares

Unbundled fares often represent the lowest available fare (subject to availability).

The intent of these fare type is to allow airlines to distribute lower-priced fares that:

  • Do not include additional services, such as advance seat assignment or inclusive baggage.

  • May have restrictions on other fare-related data, such as change and cancellation policies.

Because unbundled fares are very restrictive, customers may not want to purchase these fares.

Unbundling fares may mean different things to different airlines, so it is important to be clear what is and isn’t included in the ticket price.

As these types of fares will not always be suitable for all travelers, you can request Fare Shop results not include these fare types.
