Windows Administrator Setting for Automated Updates

Microsoft Windows Administrative rights are required for all Smartpoint installations. However, for the Smartpoint 11.0 Service Release (v11.0.0.55) update from Smartpoint 11.0 (v.11.0.0.34), changes to Windows security also require you to manually run the Administrator mode before updating from either:

If you attempt to update Smartpoint without setting Administrator mode, a Download in progress screen is displayed after you click UPDATE. However, the screen closes within a few minutes without installing the update.

So before you click UPDATE, follow the instructions for setting Administrator mode and installing Smartpoint using Automatic Update Options.

Note: This error does not occur if you are updating from:

  • Smartpoint 10.01 or earlier

  • Smartpoint 11.0 Hotfix (v11.0.0.52)

Feature and Functionality Updates

The following enhancements and fixes are included in this release:

  • For Automated Involuntary Exchanges (#INVOL), spaces are removed from the passenger Name field during processing to prevent errors caused by an incompatible the name in the original PNR/Booking File.

  • The cursor occasionally moved to the wrong window when the TAB key was used.

  • Trip Quote did not show the correct rates when converting from ZAR to USD.

  • Trip Quote showed another agent’s saved quotes under the Retrieve tab.
