Fare Indicators

Three types of fare indicators are used to indicate the pricing method for a fare. These indicators can also be used to determine eligibility for ADMs

  • FCPI (Fare Calculation Pricing Indicators)
  • FCMI (Fare Calculation Mode Indicators)
  • FSI (Fare Status Indicators)

See KB0023782 in the Travelport Knowledge Base for more information and code descriptions.

FCPI (Fare Calculation Pricing Indicators)

FCPI indicates the method of pricing for the transaction. These codes are the source of reference for determining if a fare quote has been automated by the Travelport 360 Fares system:

  • Travelport+ (1G)
The FCPI is an alphabetic code (A-Z), and is displayed in the File Fare (FF).
  • Apollo (1V):
The FCPI is a numeric code (0-9), and is not stored or displayed in the Automated Ticket and Fare Quote (ATFQ ) or Stored Linear Fare Quote (*LF). Apollo does however display a Fare Status Indicator (FSI) in the Stored LinearFare Quote (*LF). See below for further information.

FCMI (Fare Calculation Mode Indicators)

The FCMI indicates the method of pricing for the transaction and are indicated as 0, 1, or 2 on a BSP ticket. FCMI details for tickets issued via a Travelport system can be obtained through BSPLink.

FCMI is not used for ARC transactions settled within the United States.

FCMI information is not stored or displayed in the Travelport system.

FSI (Fare Status Indicators)

In addition to FCPI and FCMI indicators, Travelport+ (1G) and Apollo (1V) also use proprietary Fare Status Indicators. These indicators are only for use within the Travelport system. Travelport, and our travel agency customers use FSI codes to identify the method used to obtain a fare quote and the source of fare information (Public Fare, Airline Private Fare, or Travelport Agency Private Fares).

FSI codes also determine if fare rules were overridden as a result of travel agency action.

Indicators and Eligibility for ADM Review

Specific combinations of fare indicators in an automated ticketed fare indicate eligibility for ADMs (Agency Debit Memos).
