Net Fare Manager Master Distribution Groups

Net Fare Manager uses distribution groups to determine who can sell and ticket Carrier Tariff and Rule NFM selling fares. A master distribution group contains other masters and/or distribution groups. A master distribution group is not GDS-specific, so a GDS code does not display prior to the name and it is denoted within an orange chip, plus a hash (#) mark following the name.

Master distribution lists can be built using:

  • Other master distribution groups

  • Distribution groups

Note: The security levels are maintained at the Distribution-group level.

  1. Click Groups on the top header.

  2. Click the New Distribution Group button. The Create Distribution Group screen displays. Select New Master Distribution Group.

  3. Enter the Name for the group. Make sure that you enter a name that is meaningful to you. The maximum entry is 50 characters.

  4. Enter a Description of the distribution group, if necessary. The maximum entry is 100 characters.

  5. Select the applicable master distribution group and/or distribution group from the list on the left (or select multiple groups by holding the CTRL key), then click the appropriate arrow to move the group.

    • Click the single right arrow () to move the groups to the box on the right.

    • Click the single left arrow () to move a group from the master.

    • To move all groups from either side, click the double arrows.

  6. Select the View button under either list to view the contents of a highlighted Distribution Group or a Master Distribution Group. If you are viewing another Master Distribution Group, the name of the previous master(s) is displayed at the top screen. Click on the name to view the contents of that master.
