Seats Workflows

The diagram below illustrates workflows to add seats either during booking or to an existing reservation, and, optionally, to send ancillary payment in the same session.

Seats are also supported in the NDC Instant Pay workflow by sending seat map and seat book requests after adding travelers.

Payments and EMDs for Seats and Ancillaries

Sending payment and issuing an EMD in the same workbench as shopping and booking is supported only for specific NDC carriers. For other NDC carriers and all GDS carriers, you must commit the booking workbench to confirm the booking, and then send payment and issue the EMD in a separate workbench.
