-
By using the Contents for GlobalWare option on the Help submenu.
-
By using the Help Contents (
) icon on the GlobalWare icon toolbar.
Using F1 on Displayed Screens and Dialog Boxes

Help System Features
The GlobalWare help system provides several features that can help you quickly find the information you need.
Contents, Index, and Glossary
The left-pane area provides the following tabs.
- Contents – This tab provides a table of contents for the help system. After the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Procedures section, the sections correspond to the submenus on the GlobalWare dashboard (with the exception of the Backup and Restore, Batch Reporting, and Word Processing sections, which represent options on the Tools submenu). Contents of each section generally match the options listed on the corresponding GlobalWare submenu.
- Index – This tab provides an index. Each index entry opens the applicable help topic.
- Glossary – This tab provides a list of terms related to GlobalWare. Click a term to view its description.
Help System Controls
The following icons provide printing, expansion, and highlighting controls.
-
– This icon provides full print functionality for the currently displayed help topic.
-
– This icon expands or collapses all drop-down areas in the help topic. For example, the “Starting Globalware” topic has a drop-down area containing a screen capture. You can expand all drop-down areas in the displayed topic by clicking this icon. You can also expand individual drop-down areas by clicking the corresponding arrow (
) icon.
-
– If you arrived at a help topic by using the Search feature in the top-right area of the help system, the terms you searched against are highlighted in the displayed topic. To remove the highlights, click this icon.
Search Feature
The online help Search feature in the upper right of the help is useful for finding topics that match the word or phrase you specify.
After typing a word or phrase, press Enter or click the search icon.
Format search
Search does not support special characters or wildcards, and they are ignored.
For example, if you want to search for /Q entries in the Travelport+ help system, entering /Q will not return results. However, searching for Q or payment schedule returns the correct results.
Search also weighs text that is in a heading. Therefore, the topic for Payment Schedule: /Q- is the first result when searching for the single letter Q with no special characters.
When searching for a format, enter descriptive text or the format without special characters. The following examples are for Travelport+ formats.
-
Search for CN to return results for Exchange Coupon Numbers: *CN.
-
Search for TA to return results for ARC Document Number: /TA-.
-
The entry for address is W., which would return many results. Instead, search for address.
Word or phrase search
- To search for a phrase, enclose the phrase in quotations. For example, entering "pending disbursement" returns only the topics that contain the phrase pending disbursement.
- Words with variant endings are returned in results. For example, a search for car returns topics with cars, carry, and care.
- Boolean operators are supported. Boolean operators are not case sensitive.
- AND narrows the search and retrieves only the topics that contain all of the words. When separating words with blank spaces, the AND is inferred. You can also use a plus (+) or ampersand (&).
- OR broadens the results by retrieving topics that contain any of the words it separates. You can also use a pipe (|).
- NOT finds topics that contain one term but not the other. You can also use a caret (^).
- Use parentheses and quotation marks to combine Boolean phrases and search terms. For example, ("pending disbursement") AND ("awaiting approval") returns topics that contain both phrases enclosed by parentheses.
