About GlobalWare
You can view information about your GlobalWare environment, such as GlobalWare version, GlobalWare and Sybase database versions, and the method of accounting your GlobalWare environment is set up to use.
Viewing Information About Your GlobalWare Environment
To view information about your GlobalWare environment:

On the Help submenu, click About GlobalWare.
The About GlobalWare dialog box appears.
The following table describes the information provided on the About GlobalWare dialog box.
Information Item Description Version
Currently installed GlobalWare version (for example, 7.3.0.0100).
Database Version
Currently installed GlobalWare database and Sybase database versions (for example, 7.3.0.0100 and 16.0.0.2193 respectively).
IMPORTANT: Your GlobalWare and GlobalWare database versions must match. If these versions do not match, contact the GlobalWare Help Desk.
Accounting Method
Indicates the method of accounting your GlobalWare environment is set up to use (accrual or cash-basis). This was set up when you initially installed GlobalWare.
Note: You cannot change the accounting method after GlobalWare installation has occurred because it is database driven.
Post Sales for
Indicates whether GlobalWare will post payments of invoice item sales individually or all together. If individually, each item posts to the general ledger as of the invoice date. If together, all items post to the general ledger as of the invoice date for the last item (final payment). This was selected when you initially installed GlobalWare and configured the database.
Post Sales for Tracking Items
Indicates whether GlobalWare will post sales for tracking items. Tracking item sales do not post to the general ledger until the date on which the commission is received. This was selected when you initially installed GlobalWare and configured the database. If you want only revenue to show in the general ledger, select No for this.
