Saving and Opening Documents
To save work you have done in a document displayed on the GlobalWare Word Processor screen:

On the File menu, click Save.
Note: You can also save the document by clicking the Save (
) icon on the toolbar.
- On the Save As screen that appears, navigate to the location where you want to save the file.

Type a file name of up to eight characters in the File name field.
Note: The default file type is Rich Text Format (.rtf), which is a text format that allows formatting and can easily be read by other word processors.
- Click Save.
Opening a Previously Saved File
To open a previously saved file from the GlobalWare Word Processor screen:

On the File menu, click Open.
Note: You can also open a document by clicking the Open (
) icon on the toolbar.

On the Open screen that appears, navigate to the desired file, and then click Open.
GlobalWare displays the document in the GlobalWare Word Processor screen.
Note: If you create a file in another word processor to be used in a mail merge, make sure you save the file in Rich Text Format (.rtf) to preserve your formatting.
