General Ledger Import Overview

The GL Import function enables you to import data from other packages (such as a payroll package) into GlobalWare. Imported transactions are treated as other manual entries, and you can edit, delete, and query them in GL Edit & Query.

Important: Import is limited to the branches to which the user has access.

The file must be in the format specified in File Specifications for General Ledger Import.

A detailed report shows any errors on the import file and whether the imported transactions are in balance.

GlobalWare stores IMPORT in the Reference 1 field for imported transactions so you can distinguish them from other journal entries.
