FlightInfo_6_0 provides the real-time status of a flight. Flight Information (FLIFO) is normally displayed for flights that are either already in progress or scheduled for that day. The data provided includes actual, as well as scheduled, departure and arrival times. Additionally, FLIFO may indicate from which gate the flight departed and the gate at which the plane will arrive, if such details are known. If for some reason, the flight is delayed or cancelled, this information too can be displayed via FLIFO. Because FLIFO is updated throughout the course of the flight, it is an accurate source of data. However, it should be noted that, although this information can be obtained prior to a flight’s departure, it is only truly relevant on the day of travel. Up until that point, it is scheduled information only, and subject to change.

FlightInfo_6_0 supplies Flight Information (FLIFO), which provides the real-time status of a flight, in addition to scheduled flight information. This transaction is normally used for flights that are either already in progress or scheduled for the current day.

Not all carriers support Flight Information. In addition, Flight Information is delivered by the carriers themselves; therefore, there may be differences between the amount or type of data provided by each carrier. However, the data may include:

• Actual, as well as scheduled, departure and arrival times.

• Departure and arrival gates.

• Cancellation or delay information.

Notes:

• FLIFO is only provided for those airlines with which the Apollo or Galileo host has a link. In the event flight information is requested for a carrier that does not have a link, In-Flight Service Information may be substituted using FlightService_6_0 .
• Galileo International does not control the data contained in FLIFO. FLIFO data is information delivered by the airlines themselves; therefore, there may be differences in the amount or type of data provided by each carrier.
• FlightInfo_6_0 is a stand-alone transaction.
• In the FlightInfo_6_0 request, only one <Item> in the <ItemAry> array can be sent at a time. Sending multiple <Items> is not supported at this time.
• The transaction is less flexible than the terminal command, which allows prerequisite fields three to five as optional fields.
