*Archived Transaction*
The FareQuoteClassSpecific_19 transaction obtains a fare quote for an itinerary supplied by the requestor, taking into consideration all appropriate fare rules and fare construction principles. Up to eight segments may be supplied by the requestor.
See the Air Shop FAQ for questions regarding all air shopping transactions.
The fare quote is based only on the booking classes supplied with the flight information in the <SegInfo> element. Unlike the FareQuoteFlightSpecific_# transaction, other booking classes that may be available for the flight are NOT considered. The ticket date in <GenQuoteInfo> can be a past date (up to 90 days) if a historical fare quote is required.
The FareQuoteClassSpecific_19 transaction allows:
Sessionless Fare Quotes without consideration of availability.
Repricing a ticketed PNR. The transaction can quote past date (historical) or current date itineraries based on as-booked booking codes, fare basis code, PF1, and PF2 fares. Refund and Exchange processing allows for split date pricing where each individual PNR segment can be requested to be priced with current fares or a specific historical fare.
There are no special requirements to use the transaction.
