The following modifiers are not allowed with the Freeform Text (GFP) modifier:
Modifier FEX - Fare Exchange.
Modifier DGD – Demand Global MIR (not valid while ticketing).
Modifier DJD – Non-Faring MIR to Remote location (works only through terminal entry for ticketing).
Modifier DXD – Dual MIR (works only through terminal entry for ticketing).
Modifier GB – Bulk Ticket
Modifier GBN – Non-Refundable Bulk Ticket
Modifier DPD – Pocket Itinerary only (works only through terminal entry for ticketing)
Modifier DDD – Delivery Document (works only through terminal point entry for ticketing)
Processing notes for the Freeform Text (GFP) modifier:
Freeform text is up to 17 characters in length. Alpha, numeric and special characters are allowed. Special characters are *-@#.
The GFP modifier prints in the FOP area of OPTAT tickets. When used with a CC FOP, part of the CC information is truncated to make room for all of the GFP data.
A pillow (@) appears as a blank space.
An asterisk (*) appears as a slash (/).
A hyphen/dash character prints as entered (-).
On OPTAT tickets, only, the last 14 characters print.
The GFP modifier is not Valid with ATB Ticketing.
When a credit is used as the form of payment, the vendor/card number prints. However, the expiration date (if entered) and the extended payment indicator (if entered) are suppressed from printing when modifier is used.
When a credit card is used as the form of payment, a manually obtained APPROVAL code is entered (#*123456), and all 17 characters of the new modifier are used the letter 'M' in front of the approval is suppressed from printing. If 16 or fewer characters are entered, the 'M' prints.

The following steps are required to carry out this task:
1. Create a PNR.
2. Send the fare number in the <FareNumInfo>.
3. Send the Freeform Ticket Text (GFP) modifiers in the <FreeFormTicket>.
Prerequisite tasks:
PNR with stored fares must be present in the AAA.
Expected response:
The response <UpdateModifiers> includes the <FareNumInfo> (which indicates the fare relationship) and the <DPOK> sub-elements.
Error and warning responses:
If there is an error, it is sent back in the <ErrText> of the <UpdateModifiers> element.
