Task: Update Force Indicator Mod

This task allows the user to use the force indicator, AU. Inputting the AU modifier ensures an audit coupon is printed even if the BSP table specifies that one is not required. The modifier is ignored if input when the BSP table specifies one is always required. The task overrides the current BSP settings by setting the force indicator to 'A' to print ATB Audit Coupon.

No. This task can only be performed on Galileo.

Knowledge of reservation, fares, and ticketing is required.
The AU modifier is BSP specific; therefore, knowledge of BSP CGNR rules is required.

Invalid for OPTAT paper tickets.

The following modifiers are not allowed with Force Indicator (/AU) modifier:

MIR/Itinerary only D modifiers (i.e., no ticket) for ATB paper tickets
MIR/Itinerary only D modifiers (i.e., no ticket) for electronic ticketing
Modifier PT (paper ticket)

Processing notes for Force Indicator (/AU) modifier:

Whether or not an ATB Audit Coupon is required or not is determined by the Generic BSP Table.

Request:

Following are the steps required to carry out this task:

Create a booking file with stored fares.
Send the fare number in the <FareNumInfo>.
Send the Force Indicator (/AU-) in <DocumentSelect>.

Prerequisite tasks:

Booking file must be present in AAA, with fares.

Expected response:

The response <UpdateModifiers> includes <FareNumInfo> and <DPOK>.

Error and warning responses:

If there is an error, it is sent back in <ErrText> in the <UpdateModifiers> response.

Follow-on requests:

None.
