Quick Info

This transaction supplies scheduled flights between a given city pair on a given day, and indicates whether seats are available on those flights. AirAvailability_13 can also provide availability for carriers or flights. Various qualifiers are available to narrow the search criteria. AirAvailability_13 also offers a timetable option, which shows flight schedules for the specified date range.

Note: Consider the following when using this transaction:

• Only origin destination air availability requests are permitted.)
  
• When requesting additional availability listings, a specific More token can only be used once. After each follow-on request, a new More token is returned to be used for the next follow-on request. If a specific More token is used more than once, an error message is returned.
• For Carrier-Specific Display, if follow-on entries are required, then a sessioned environment is required. For example, a <MoreAvail> follow-on request to display more classes (<AirVSpecificAvail>) requires a session.
• The <AirVPrefs>, an optional air availability request tag, provides the ability to include or exclude air vendors via the array <AirVAry>. <AirVAry> may contain up to 24 <AirVInfo> items. Including more than 24 <AirVInfo> items results in a host error.
• For some requests, in the <SpecificAvailMods>, tag, the “Inhibit Link Status” can be set to Y so that the transaction uses AVS status to check availability rather than link status.
