ATPCO & SITA

The Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) & Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques (SITA) are a single point of collection for airlines to file fares abd pricing data. Airlines file the data manually and it is then electronically transmitted to the GDS.

As a reminder Travelport is compliant with ATPCO data application (also used by SITA). For access to the data application please contact ATPCO via https://my.atpco.net.

Pricing Tags

Tag 1 - One way (OW) fares which may be doubled. They change their nature depending on the context in which they are used. If used in a Pricing Unit which calls for 1/2 round trip (RT) fares, then they are 1/2 RT; if used in a Pricing Unit which calls for OW fares, then they are OW fares.

Tag 2 - Fares are round trip (RT).

Tag 3 - One way fares that may not be doubled and can ONLY be used for OW.

The ATPCO Data application documents are industry standard rules and regulations governing the processing of Fares & Pricing data for all GDS. In conjunction with ATPCO data application, Travelport also maintain some data manually to comply with IATA Resolutions and Airline preference.

Permissible Surface Sectors

The IATA Resolution Composite is the source for permitted surface sectors.

Fare Construction Minimum Exceptions

The IATA Resolution Composite, carrier general rule, and carrier rules are used for updating this information.

Fare Construction Candidate Exceptions

The sources are carrier general rules and carrier rules.

Fare Type Hierarchy for HIP

Processing

The IATA Resolution Composite and carrier advised exceptions are used for updating this information. This information is manually updated and dictates the order of processing using fare types for HIP candidates.

Multiple Airports and Associated City

The IATA City Code definitions and carrier rules are used for manually updating this information. Travelport 360 Fares can include or exclude specific airports from a city by carrier.

Cabin Class Definitions

The IATA Cabin definitions are used for Cabin Class defaults. Carriers can notify Travelport when they need cabin class exceptions. Exceptions can be market specific.

Higher Fare Entitlement for North American Fares

Carriers notify Travelport when they want to define booking class hierarchy for Higher Fare Entitlement (HFE) processing.

Higher Fare Entitlement for International Fares

Carriers notify Travelport when they want to allow Higher Fare Entitlement (HFE) for their International fares, and any booking class in a lower cabin will be permitted.
