Supported Schema Versions and Retirement Policy

Schema Support and Retirement

Travelport recommends updating to the latest version of the schema at least once per year if a new schema version is available to ensure you are not required to make a multi-year schema jump when a schema version is retired.

Important! 

• Universal API provides support for schema versions for up to three years. After the retirement date, transactions that are sent using retired schema versions may fail.

• Effective January 23, 2025, the Travelport Universal API schema retirement process is being put on hold temporarily.

  • While it is encouraged to upgrade to the latest schema to take advantage of new functionality, Travelport will not mandate that applications are upgraded to a newer version at this time.

  • Once a decision is made to reinstate the process, users will be notified well in advance of any schema version(s) considered for retirement and when they will be retired.

  • Travelport appreciates the efforts of those who have updated their applications to use the latest version prior to this updated notice.

  • Please reach out to your Travelport representative should you have any questions.

• Schema versions 42 (released with 17.3), 43 (released with 17.4), 44 (released with 18.1), 45 (released with 18.2), 46 (released with 18.3), 47 (released with 18.4), and 48 (released with 19.1) will be retired TBD.
