Standard Keyboard Shortcuts

The following keyboard shortcuts are allowed in GlobalWare wherever possible:

Keyboard Shortcut Description

F4

Displays additional information for a selected item in some search results grids. For example, if you select an invoice item in the Search Results grid on the Commission Tracking screen, and then press F4, the Invoice Display screen appears. It shows details about the invoice item.

Using another example, if you select a transaction in the Search Results grid on the GL Edit & Query screen, and then press F4, the GL Account Display screen appears. It shows monthly balances for the general ledger account.

Shift+F4

Displays subledger details behind a corresponding general ledger transaction.

Shift+F8

Enables you to edit the Comments box when making an adjustment in the Adjust Accounts screen.

F10

Duplicates information from one record to the next. When adding an invoice, you can use F10 to copy values from the previously opened invoice item.  In grids (such as on the Journal Entries screen), press F10 to copy from the field in the row directly above.

Page Up,
Page Down

In the Invoice function, these keys enable you to move from one invoice item to the next (for example, from the air item to the car item) in the same invoice.

Shift+Page Up, Shift+Page Down

In the Invoice function, these key combinations enable you to jump from one invoice to the next. (Similar to Page Up and Page Down.)

Ctrl+C

Copies highlighted text to the Windows clipboard.

Ctrl+V

Pastes copied information from the Windows clipboard to the cursor position.

Alt+?

Pressing the Alt key plus any underlined character on a button is equivalent to clicking the button with your mouse.

Tab

Moves the cursor forward one field.

Shift+Tab

Moves the cursor back one field.

Ctrl+Left Mouse Button

Selects an item on many screens that display multiple items (for example, in Search Results grids).

Spacebar

Selects the current item on many screens that display multiple items (for example, in Search Results grids).
