For the first time ever, Travelport, Amadeus and Sabre are joining together along with other leading representatives of the travel and tourism industry to declare their support for a new ambitious global initiative, MASSIVEGOOD. Created by the Millennium Foundation for Innovative Finance for Health, MASSIVEGOOD will allow travelers to give a voluntary ‘micro-contribution’ each time they purchase travel services. These contributions will go towards fighting HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in developing countries. Click here for more details.

To facilitate donations, Travelport travel agents can install a toolbar button which takes them to the MASSIVEGOOD.org web site. This toolbar button can be downloaded and installed from the Travelport 360 Portal.

Steps to add the MASSIVEGOOD shortcut icon

• Close Galileo Desktop
• To add a quick link to your Galileo Desktop installation, click here, then click run. Doing this will NOT alter your Galileo Desktop software in any way other than to add an icon to the custom toolbar. The icon can be removed by accessing the Tools, View Custom Toolbar Editor, selecting the icon and then selecting Delete.
• Note, the installation requies Microsoft .NET v2.0. You may obtain a copy of this software directly from MIcrosoft. We suggest you try the installation of the MASSIVEGOOD shortcut, and only use the links to .NET if the installer fails.
• For 32-bit versions of Windows, click here to download and install .NET v2.0 (x86)
• For 64-bit versions of Windows, click here to download and install .NET v2.0 (x64)

Connection Methods

• Galileo SSL - v1.00.0010 Release/Update February 29, 2009. This is the recommended method for remote employees and smaller offices
• Site to Site VPN - This is often the preferred connection method for larger offices or connections from corporate networks.
• Nortel VPN client software.
  Note, a stop sale has been placed on the use of the Nortel VPN Software. This is a legacy type connection and is not used by new customers. Existing customers using this type of connection may continue to do so until mid 2010, but should consider migrating to either Galileo's SSL or Customer Managed VPN connection as soon as possible. Existing customers ordering new connections for remote employees will be provided a connection using Galileo SSL.

Operating Systems Notes

• NEW!  Microsoft's Windows 7. Initial testing with Windows 7 indicates that Travelport's desktop software behaves the same on both Windows Vista and Windows 7. In other words, if it works on Vista, it works on Windows 7. Conversely, if there are limitations or issues running Travelport software on Vista, those issues or limitations continue to exist when running Windows 7.
